Working Principle of Rotary Tablet Press Machine
The rotary tablet press machine operates by driving the turntable to rotate through the main motor. The rotation causes the upper and lower punches to move up and down within the middle mold, guided by the rails. Here’s how the process works:
- Filling: The lower punch extends from the lower end of the middle die into the middle die hole, sealing the bottom. Granular material is automatically filled into the middle mold through the feeder.
- Compression: As the turntable rotates, the upper punch descends into the middle mold hole, compressing the powder into tablets.
- Discharge: The upper punch lifts out of the middle die hole, and the lower punch rises to push the tablet out, completing the discharge.
Main Structure of the Tablet Press Machine
Transmission Part: Comprising a motor, pulley, worm gear reducer, and adjusting handwheel. The motor speed can be adjusted using a variable frequency stepless speed regulator. Power is transmitted from the motor to the worm reducer via pulleys, driving the turntable spindle.
Turntable and Guide Rail Assembly: Includes the turntable (upper and lower bearings, spindle, turntable) and guide rail (upper and lower guide rails). The turntable carries the punch in a circular motion, while the guide rail assembly ensures the punch moves up and down to complete particle filling and tablet pressing.
Dose Control of Tablets
The dose of the drug is determined according to the prescription and pharmacopoeia and must remain consistent. Each tablet has different metering requirements:
