Strip Packing Machine

SINDA specializes in manufacturing strip packing machines. The SPM series is newly designed by SINDA with reference to German equipment. It has a unique design, rational structure, and flexible adjustment. The machine is easy to operate and maintain.

This machine uses frequency conversion speed regulation. The stroke can be set on the touch screen. It comes with a vibrating whole-row feeding mechanism, a photoelectric monitoring device, and an automatic counting function. The processes of filling, heat sealing, strip cutting, batch printing, and slitting are all automated. This allows high-speed operation. It is suitable for packaging tablets, capsules, and pills. The strip pack ensures excellent sealing and protection against light.

Working Principle of the SPM Series Strip Packing Machine

When the two rolls of packaging film are sealed by the wheel mold, the medicine enters the mold wheel from the hopper via the guide rail. The heated mold wheel seals the medicine between the two films. After creasing and cutting, the strip packaging is produced.

Packing Medicines of Different Specifications

The SPM series can pack medicines of different sizes. Only the material guide and sealing die wheel need to be replaced.

Advantages of the SPM Series Strip Packing Machine

The machine is made of stainless steel 304. It has a smooth surface, is corrosion-resistant, and easy to clean. The design complies with GMP standards.

The SPM is controlled by a PLC and a touch screen. All parameters are adjustable. When packaging specifications change, only the molds need to be replaced.

The heat-sealing mold’s temperature is controlled by an imported PID controller. A high-end PT100 thermometer ensures a stable temperature. This improves sealing performance.

Packaging Materials for the SPM Series Strip Packing Machine

The SPM uses two layers of packaging foil to wrap the tablet. The pharmaceutical industry typically uses composite films for packaging. The choice of film depends on the drug’s properties and shelf life.

Ordinary Composite Film: Made of polyester, aluminum foil, and polyethylene (PET/AL/PE). It has good printing adaptability and barrier properties against gas and moisture.

Medical Easy-Tear Composite Film: Made of cellophane, polyethylene, and aluminum foil (PT/PE/AL/PE). It is easy to tear and has good barrier properties for longer shelf life.

Paper-Aluminum-Plastic Composite Film: Made of paper, polyethylene, and aluminum foil (paper/PE/AL/PE). It has good printability and barrier properties for a long shelf life.

Batch Number Printing on the SPM Series Strip Packing Machine

SINDA offers two methods for printing batch numbers on the packaging.

Steel Character Printer: It embosses the batch number with a steel letter printing machine. The number aligns with the heat-sealing mold roller.

Imported Solid Ink Wheel: It prints the batch number directly on the packaging material. In this case, the heat-sealing roller does not reserve a space for the number.

Suitable Medicines for Strip Packing

Strip packing machines are ideal for medicines sensitive to ultraviolet rays, those that absorb moisture easily, and require resistance to heat or cold. These machines ensure long shelf life and improve packaging quality.

Packing Tablets or Capsules of Different Specifications

The SPM series is standardized, allowing quick mold changes. Only the guide rail and heat-sealing mold rollers need to be replaced. The strap size can be set on the touch screen.

Differences Between a Strip Packing Machine and a Blister Packing Machine

Strip Packing Machine: Uses two layers of strip packaging film to sandwich the tablet. The medicine is heat-sealed inside the composite film, forming rod-shaped packaging.

Blister Packing Machine: Shapes PVC or aluminum into cells and places the medicine in the cells. The top layer is sealed with aluminum foil, and the final result is block-shaped packaging.

Additional Requirements for the SPM Series Strip Packing Machine

The machine requires compressed air with a pressure of 0.45 MPa and airflow of over 0.2 m³/min. It also needs a three-phase power supply. Inform SINDA of your power specifications, and the electronic components will be adjusted accordingly.

Model Differences of the SPM Series

SPM-A Series: Controlled by buttons.

SPM-C Series: Controlled by a touch screen.

The number following the model represents the maximum applicable film width. For example, the SPM-250C is touch-screen controlled, and the maximum film width is 250 mm.
